Bachelor 'Language, Culture and Communication'
Introduction
The geographical location and its modern port facilities have turned Aruba into a communicative center between the American and European continent. Add the multilingual infrastructure, developed through culture and history, and you see why a bachelor program in ‘Language, Culture and Communication’ is essential.
The bachelor program offers students the opportunity to specialize in three different areas:
1. Journalism
2. Translation and Interpretation
3. Communication Management
The courses will be held in English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento and uses the European Credit Point System (ECTS) as an international standard.
Both working adults as students who just obtained an HAVO/VWO degree who like to specialize in languages are the target group.
National and international experts shall assist the program in cooperation with foreign educational institutions.
The highest educational level is aimed.
Organization
The program will consist of 4 modules of 9 weeks per year. In each module students will work around a central theme. Each module starts with an introduction-orientation week during which teachers and students discuss the topics for the central theme.
Different methods will be used.
Every week courses will be held from Monday to Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.
